1 C water
1 C sugar
3/4 C basil
3/4 C mint
Make a simple syrup with the water and sugar. Stir over medium heat until the sugar is dissolved and the liquid is clear. Add basil and mint after the liquid is clear and simmer for 7 minutes. Remove from heat. Remove the herbs. Cool and put in a glass container. Will keep in the refrig. for 1 month or longer.

You can mix this with whatever alcohol you like or use with sparkling water.
