Dad's Baked Beans

Ingredients

Dad's Baked Beans

Soak 2C (2 pounds?) of beans over night, drain

Boil 1 hour w/ 3/4 lb. salt pork, 1 medium onion in 1 1/2 qts, water

Put in casserole add

1tsp. pepper

2T. mustard prepared

1 1/2c. brown sugar

1/2c. catsup

Procedure

Bake 325* 2 1/2 hours , 375* 1/2 hour

The recipe said may spoon some water off during cooking but when set

moisture absorbs. I think it needed all the water

I made with Great Norther but Brian said they should be Navy beans

I left salt pork whole with slices made partially through it when I boiled

the beans. Then I sliced it , trimmed it of some fat and topped the beans

with it along with a little ketchup.
