Chocolate Chip Melt Pie

Ingredients

1 C semisweet chocolate chips

1/2 C chopped walnuts or pecans

2 large eggs beaten

1/2 C firmly packed brown sugar

1/2 C granulated sugar

1 stick (8 T) unsalted butter melted

1/2 C all-purpose flour

1 tsp vanilla

1 9-inch unbaked pie crust

Procedure

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Be sure to brush the pie shell with egg wash, prick with a fork and pre-bake 400 degrees for 10 min before filling. Let the crust cool a bit. Reduce oven temperature to 350 degrees. Mix all ingredients like making a chocolate chip cookies. Pour the mixture into a pie shell and place on a cookie sheet. Bake in the center of the oven for 30 minutes at 350 degrees until filling is bubbly and pastry is lightly browned.

Serve warm or at room temperature with vanilla ice cream if desired.
