Chocolate Date Truffles

Ingredients

Original recipe:

Makes 6 to 10 truffles

1/4 cup organic dates

1/4 cup cacao powder

2 tbsp macadamia nut butter

1/2 cup whole macadamia

Pinch of sea salt

Adapted recipe: (really there is no recipe just use nuts and chocolate and such that you have until it processes and you can form balls)

1/2 cup plus dates

1/4 cup cocoa powder dark if you want

2-3 T peanut or cashew butter

1/2 cup plus of nuts (pecans are good)

1/4 cup or more unsweetened coconut

Chocolate chips if you want

Agave or honey to sweeten and moisten if needed

Procedure

Add all ingredients into a food processor and pulse together. Using clean hands, roll into small balls and place on a plate or in a plastic container to let set (covered) in the fridge for 30 minutes to 1 hour.

Freezer option:

Place the balls on wax paper on a tray and freeze them. When they are firm roll them in the wax paper and store them in a freezer bag in the freezer.
