Banana Nut Bread

Ingredients

Topping mix and set aside:

1/2 C chopped nuts

1/3 C brown sugar

1/2 tsp cinnamon

Batter: Cream together...

1/2 C butter

1 C brown sugar

Add:

2 eggs - one at a time

Mix in:

1/2 tsp vanilla

1 C mashed bananas (about 2 large)

Mix together and then add to wet ingredients:

2 C sifted flour

1 tsp baking powder

1 tsp baking soda

1/4 tsp salt

Fold in:

1/2 C sour cream

Procedure

Grease bread pans. Sprinkle 1/2 of the topping mixture on the bottom of the greased pan. Cover with 1/2 of the batter and then the remainder of the topping mixture. Cover with the remainder of the batter.

Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Let cool before removing from pan.

Double for 2 loaves.
