Victoria's Stewed Green Beans

Ingredients

1 pound green beans, end trimmed

1 large onion chopped

2 T olive oil

Salt and Pepper

1 tsp fresh dill, chopped

1/2 tsp fresh mint, chopped

3 C tomato sauce

Procedure

1. In a large sauce pan heat the olive oil. Add onions, salt and pepper and cook until onions are soft.

2. Add green beans and tomato sauce. Bring to a boil. Turn heat to low. Simmer until beans are soft about 1 hour.

3. Add herbs. Simmer an additional 20 minutes. Adjust seasonings.
