Fish Tacos - Hawaii

Ingredients

Salsa:

1 tomato chopped

1/2 yellow pepper chopped

fresh cilantro chopped - amount to taste

red onion chopped finely- amount to taste

1/2 of a papaya peeled and chopped

1 avocado cut into bite-sized chunks

1/2 C prepared salsa

Romaine lettuce chopped

Sauce: (combine all to your taste)

sour cream

fresh dill chopped

salt

lemon juice

cayenne pepper

Talapia fish fillets (seasoned with)

lime juice (1/2 a large lime)

cayenne pepper

salt

chili powder

cumin

olive oil

Flour or whole wheat tortillas

Mexican shredded cheese

Procedure

Prepare salsa and sauce and chop lettuce. Saute seasoned talapia fillets in olive oil. Sprinkle the tortilla with some cheese and warm in microwave for about 30 seconds. Top this with a cut up fish fillet. Top that with lettuce, salsa, and then drizzle with the sour cream dill sauce. Fold taco style and enjoy.

Special Notes

I ate fish tacos in Hawaii and took what I liked from the two and combined them to make my own recipe. I had my first fish taco while visiting Sarah in San Diego. That taco had a shredded cabbage topping and a orange colored chipotle type sauce.
