Cut the beets and carrots up into small chunks. Cook the carrots until they are soft through. Mix the carrots and the beets saving some beet juice. When the carrots are cold add the condensed milk. For color add some of the beet juice and mix it all together. Let sit for at least an hour (but longer is better) in the fridge.
