Peanut Butter Blossoms

Ingredients

1 3/4 C flour

1/2 tsp salt

1 tsp baking soda

1/2 C butter

1/2 C peanut butter

1/2 C sugar

1/2 cup brown sugar

1 egg

1 tsp vanilla

Procedure

Combine the first three dry ingredients. Cream the next 4 ingredients in a separate bowl. Add the egg and vanilla to the creamed ingredients. Combine wet and dry ingredients. Roll the dough into small balls and then roll them in sugar. Bake at 375 degrees for about 6-7 minutes then press on a chocolate star and bake for 2 more minutes.

Recipe from Patsy Lincolnhol. This is a traditional Christmas time cookie in the Lincolnhol family. I use Brach's chocolate starts but some people use chocolate kisses. You can also use this recipe to make mini muffins with peanut butter Reeces pressed into the middle after the first 6 minutes of baking.
