Aside for sciences, his main hobbies are sailing, climbing and hiking.

Corentin’s deep interest in sciences has led him to a great number of experiences in various fields. Most recently he has participated in the theme-based shared flat “Kot Astro” for 4 years, first as member and then as president. The group’s ongoing project is the promotion of astronomy and space sciences in Louvain-la-Neuve through the organization of a great variety of activities such as exhibitions, conferences, weekend workshops, presentations, etc. He has also had the opportunity to work as a student at the Royal Observatory of Belgium and the Eurospace Center. He also took part in the previous field season at the MDRS as the commander and geologist of crew 127.

CORENTIN LIBER - COMMANDER, CREW ASTRONOMER

Corentin Liber is a third year graduate student in Geographic Sciences at the Université Catholique de Louvain (Belgium). He earlier studied Physics at the same university before reorienting. He graduated high school in 2007 with a specialization in English and Sciences.

BENOIT PAIRET - HSO, GREENHAB OFFICER

Benoît Pairet is a third year engineering student at Université catholique de Louvain. His deep interest in physics led him to chose options in applied mathematics and fundamental physics. Fascinated by nature and sciences since childhood, he dreams to work in an international research environment. Benoît likes sharing his experience and knowledge through being a member of the university teaching staff. He is also a member and the future president of the theme-based shared flat "Kot Ardoise", promoting French language and literature. With a team of passionated engineering student he took part in designing and implementing an off-grid photovoltaic facility in the scope of a Humanitarian project. The facility provides electricity to a village in Benin Africa since summer 2013. During his free times, he enjoys outdoor sports like running and soccer and reading books.

GATIEN DE CALLATAY - CREW ENGINEER

Gatien de Callatay is currently enrolled in a graduate in civil engineering at the Polytechnic School of Louvain (UCL, Belgium), with a minor in applied mathematics.> He graduated from high school in 2010 with Honors where he specialized in Classics Languages (Greek and Latin).

He has always been fascinated by aviation and space exploration. He already flew solo on a glider at the age of 15 and he obtained his private pilot license at 18 (afterwards, he also obtained an American License in Los Angeles). Today, he is still training in order to obtain an airline pilot qualification.

He is also involved in non-profit organizations, such as boy-scouts where he is group leader, in charge of more than 40 teenagers. This experience allowed him to learn to manage and to be managed.

Gatien also enjoys participating in different sport competitions, such as the 15 miles of Brussels or Paris, he is also member of a rowing team.

He wants to be a part of this awesome adventure, which will probably be one of the most important in the history of mankind: the conquest of Mars!

His main hobbies are hiking, playing the flugelhorn (he is playing in an orchestra since he was 12) and taking care of nature.

Olivier was a boy scout for 15 years and a scout group leader for 3 years. Recently he took part in a theme-based shared flat “Orchestrakot” for 2 years, first as a member, and then as the head of the flat. He is therefore a very social person who would easily promote friendship and understanding among the group. Since he was a child, Olivier has always been very interested in sciences: he participated in several “scientific weeks” at the Eurospace Center (Redu, Belgium) and at the Université libre de Bruxelles (Belgium).

OLIVIER GOBERT - CREW GEOLOGIST

Olivier Gobert is a first year master student in geographic sciences at the Université catholique de Louvain (Belgium). He graduated in high school (2009) with a specialization in sciences and languages (English and Dutch). His university education helped him to substantially increase his skills in geology, experimentation, statistics, sampling and GPS localization.

QUENTIN CAPPART - CREW JOURNALIST

Quentin Cappart is a second year Master student in computer engineering at the UCL (Université catholique de Louvain) in Belgium. He previously completed his Bachelor in the same university with options in computer engineering and applied mathematics. He graduated from high school in 2009 with high honors where he

specialized in Classics languages (Latin and Greek) and mathematics, Quentin was also employed by the UCL as a teaching assistant for the informatics course of the first year Bachelor students in Engineering. In addition to this, he was a member of the UCLouvain ACM Student Chapter, an association that promotes informatics. He

currently studies at the IST in Lisbon through the Erasmus program. Besides his studies, Quentin is a Scout leader for 4 years. He likes animate younger and enjoy life in the wild. He also practices hiking and climbing to see beautiful landscapes while achieving sports challenges.

THIBAUD HERRIAU - XO

Thibaud Herriau is a Master's student in Chemical and Materials Engineering at UCL (Université Catholique de Louvain) in Belgium.

As a former scouts leader, student's delegate and manager at Amayasoft, an iOS development company and publisher, he developed himself both as a team player and as a team leader.

Thibaud enjoys project-type activities with visible results, advanced technical and creative orientations and a need for strong communication skills.

Thibaud's main hobbies are mountain hiking, photography, and tennis. He likes reading about new technologies and medical care and enjoys music, theater and opera.

When he isn't learning something new, Thibaud likes to challenge himself by competing in business games like the BCG Strategy Cup where he won the Rookie Prize with his team or the LSM Cup which he helped create in the first place. Last but not least, Thibaud loves travelling around the globe... and possibly beyond! (who said Mars?)
