Purpose:

1)collect sample from long duration astrobiology experimenter

2)check response time of second EVA when discovery is made in field

Narrative:

This was the sixth and final EVA for crew 132. After leaving the Hab we walked directly to the first waypoint and headed to the site of the astrobiological experiment. While Astrobiologist Dani collected her samples, Commander Nick surveyed the site and came across excellent samples of mineral deposits that could possibly contain water. After collecting some samples we headed to our third waypoint.

After the third waypoint we hiked to peak 0518972mE 4250739mN. While surveying the area we discovered a small patch on a west facing rock that resembled lichen. We radioed in for the Greenhab Officer to validate our finding. After about thirty minutes the Greenhab Officer Charles and Engineer Hiroyuki arrived via ATV. The specimen was verified as a lichen and photographed. We then headed back to the Hab after a final survey of the area.
