Purpose:

Explore the region north of the Hab. Collect data for the helmet temperature and perceved comfort study and the radio coverage mapping project.

Narrative:

A crew of three left the Hab on ATV at 10.03: Lead Joseph Jessup, Nav Matthieu Komorowski and scientist Pedro Diaz-Rubin. The crew progressed quickly to an intersection where they headed west. The secondary road proved very difficult to drive on due to very slippery mud. After 15 minutes the crew turned back and returned safely to the Hab at 11.38. Data was collected for the helmet temperature study and radio coverage mapping project. Total duration of the EVA: 1h35min.
