How To Setup Google Analytics
1. In order to get started, simply head over to the Google Analytics' main website.
2. Click the ‘start for free' button – and enter your email and password.
3. Once you sign-in, you'll be taken to a page that looks like this:
Simply click on the ‘start for free' button and proceed.
4. Once done, enter your account details (mainly property/website name) – then scroll all the way to the bottom and click ‘next'.
5. Once done, you'll be asked ‘what you want to measure’. In our case, we need to measure website traffic – so select the ‘web’ option.
6. Once done, you'll be asked to provide some few more details i.e. website name, url, category, time zone, etc.
Simply enter the required details and click ‘create'.
7. Once done, you'll be taken to the Google Analytics home page.
You'll notice that there'll be a tracking code on the welcome page – as soon as you sign-in.
Simply copy it – and paste it in your website admin panel.
That way, Google will be able to track your website's performance then present the data inside your Analytics tab.
NB: If you're using WordPress, you might need to install a plugin called MonsterInsights – which makes it ‘easier' to integrate Google Analytics with your site.
