So read till the end if you want to learn more about this topic.

Free Web Building Platforms

Without wasting much time, let me jump straight into more detail.

Google Sites - Free Website Builder

Do you know that Google has its own website building platform which allows regular people like you to build their own websites for absolutely free?

That's right. Google offers a platform for people like you and me to build websites for free without paying a dime.

And to be honest, this website was built using Google Sites since it is my favourable website builder right now.

In order to access this platform, simply head over to sites.google.com and signup using your Gmail account.

Once you signup, you will get access to a dashboard which has some few premade templates which you can use to create your own site.

You can choose to customise these templates or build your own site from scratch depending on your tastes and preferences.

And the beauty part about Google Sites is that it is less complex in nature as it does not involve any complicated staff.

You can easily create your own site using the simple drag and drop editor available on this platform thereby reducing your learning curve.

Once you’re done creating your site, you can simply publish it so as to make it live on the web.

Keep in mind that you will only be able to use a subdomain like sites.google.com/view/my-website.

But this is not a big deal if you're just starting out and you don't have some money to spend on a domain.

But in the long run, its always advisable to get your own custom domain if you wish to take your business to the next level.

Medium - Free Blogging Platform

I can’t stress enough how powerful this platform is since it is one of the best blogging platforms right now.

With Medium, you don't even have to worry about creating your own website from scratch since Medium already did all the dirty work for you.

Thus, your main job is to signup using your Gmail, once logged in, you will get access to a dashboard that is simple and straight forward.

In order to start adding your content, simply click your profile icon and select the option which reads ‘Write A Story'.

Once you select that option, you will be able to add some content using the writing interface provided by Medium.

However, l always recommend people to write their stories using Word on PC or desktop then you copy and paste your articles from Word to Medium.

The reason being that writing directly on Medium is slow due to the nature of the platform.

Besides, Medium might fail to save your story if there is a network problem thus its always good to write your articles on external apps.

Once done, you can simply publish your stories so as to make them visible to the public.

The beauty part about Medium is that it has an in-built audience i.e. loyal readers who reads Medium stories on a daily basis.

Thus your articles have higher chances of being read by most people.

Besides, Medium has a high domain authority of over 90 thus your content has high chances of ranking on Google without doing too much efforts.

Thus, l highly recommend you to check out this platform if you're looking for a free way to get started with blogging.

3. Wix

Wix - Free Website Builder

A lot of people don't know this – but Wix do offer a free plan which allows you to build some free sites.

Using the free plan, you can get started with website building in no time since you can utilise some great resources offered by this platform.

One thing that l like about Wix is that it is very beginner friendly in nature since it involves less tech staff.

You can literally build a stunning website in less than 10 minutes without any prior experience!

Wix comes with some artificial intelligence tools which helps in creating stunning sites without the need for coding.

You can simply provide your site specifications by simply answering some few questions asked by the AI system.

Using your data, the artificial intelligence system can come up with a website which matches your specs – SUPER EASY!

However, you can choose to build your own website from scratch or you can utilise some templates that comes with this software.

Thus, you can easily create a stunning website in less time without too much stress.

However, l don't recommend people to use Wix for creating blogs since its blogging infrastructure is not that good.

But if you wish to build static websites, then Wix might be a great option since it does the job better.

4. WordPress

WordPress - Free Website Builder

Wait a minute!

‘You said this article is about free website builders. Then how come WordPress is on the list?’

That's the response l get from most people when l talk about WordPress as a free website builder.

But the reality is that WordPress is a free website builder which was designed to help bloggers in creating their own websites without too much hassle.

By nature, WordPress is 100% free but you'll be forced to use a subdomain like mysite.wordpress.com or anything along these lines.

This is not a big deal if you're just looking for a free way to get started online since content matters the most.

Using WordPress, you can easily create awesome websites by simply utilising the templates which comes with this software.

Using plugins like Elementor, you can turn your website into a drag and drop editor thus allowing you to customise the templates based on your tastes and preferences.

But l have to admit that WordPress has a huge learning curve than Wix since WordPress is more complicated in nature.

But you can always find some useful tutorials on YouTube which are helpful.

Once you’re done making your site, you can publish it so as to make it live to the public.

Keep in mind that the free plan is hidden in tiny font on WordPress' main website since they try by all means to make people pay for a domain.

But if you read attentively on their pricing page, you'll see an option that reads ‘free plan'.

Thus, you can choose this option in order to use WordPress for 100% free.

Blogger - Free Blogging Platform

Most people thinks that Blogger is dead due to change of ownership from Google.

But in my opinion, Blogger still lives up to now since this platform is still powerful when it comes to blogging.

You can signup to this platform using your Gmail account and the signup process takes literally few minutes to complete.

Once you login, you can now start to create your own custom blog for free.

All you have to do is to choose your favourite template, customise it, then you will be good to go.

Just like Google Sites, Blogger has a small learning curve since it involves little coding staff.

Blogger uses a drag and drop editor which is in the form of ‘what you see is what you get'.

Thus, you can easily play around some text, images, colours, fonts, etc since this platform is simple to use.

One thing l like about Blogger is that it allows you to monetize your site with AdSense which is very rare with other free blogging platforms.

If you're using other free platforms, you wont get approved for AdSense unless you have a custom domain.

However, Blogger allows you to put some Ads on your content which is quite insane.

Thus, Blogger is also a great platform to consider if you're looking for a free way to build your own blog.

Wrapping Up

I hope that you've gained some value from this post since l tried by all means to share all my knowledge regarding this topic.

I’m pretty sure that you're now ready to go out there and start your own website for free utilising these platforms.

But the key thing to note is that a free website comes with a default subdomain like mysite.google.com/test-site.

For this reason, you might be forced to buy your own domain if you wish to use your own custom domain.

But if you're on a tight budget, you can always start with a free subdomain and you can always get your own domain in the future.
