First of all, I'm not talking about about Colleen. Everybody's talking at me, I don't hear a word they're saying. Only the echoes of my mind. She may have subliminally dedicated this song to me, however. You probably think this song is about you.

As she took to center stage at TJ's Flightline in Glenville I'm thinking I never thought you'd find me in a Karaoke bar and ENJOYING it. Was encouraged to share the mic but I wasn't ready. Maybe after 12 shots of tequilla? Jose Curevo you are a friend of mine.

Start me up. The lighting was dim so I couldn't get the quality video I wanted. Kodachrome, they give us those nice bright colors. They give us the greens of summer, makes us think all the world's a summer day.

Old work friend Ray, had given me a random call, out of the blue. Said  I was always on his mind (video) and invited us down after the Hockey game with Union. His Clarkson team won that night. Put me in coach, I'm ready to play. After Christie totaled our '90 Maxima, I bought Ray's '90 Pontiac Bonneville for her, which she totaled. Neither was "her fault" as they say. You're gonna drive me to drinking if you don't stop racing that hot rod Lincoln.

It was cool. A friendly crowd and each singer gave a good performance. The DJ was congenial and had the best voice in there.

Jimi was in the background. Purple haze all around, don't know if I'm coming up or down. Am I happy or in misery. Whatever it is, that girl put a spell on me.

Heard some Melissa Ethridge "You're the Only One", "Just a Kiss", "Chatelaine", and "Take it to the Limit".

Then after getting the biggest applause for a Heart rendition of "Straight on to You", and kudos from the DJ and other singers, we left early as I had a headache. But don't cry for me Argentina. I've got friends in low places where the whiskey chases my blues away. And I'll be OK.
