Went to visit a photo club member who said he had a Minox spy camera. That is the premier spy camera used by James Bond and real life Communist and American spies like John Walker. It turned out to be a mere Minolta sub miniature camera copy but I do have a connection to the real Minox. I was wearing the "Spark Your Dream" hat that I bought from Herman Zapp. It was his Great Uncle, I believe, Walter Zapp who invented the Minox beginning production in 1938 Latvia. The company was under Russian control for part of the War but then moved to Wetzlar (where Uncle Nelson was interogated) and it still exists.

This being conspiracy month with JFK, note that the Dallas police confiscated a Minox from Oswald's boarding house. As always the story is convoluted. Nevertheless, Oswald did have spy tendencies and did some work in fact in graphic arts for Jaggars-Chiles-Stovall in Dallas. That company did some classified work for the government using photo reduction and enlargement techniques.

Most public opinion favors a conspiracy theory for that event. The government created the environment for conspiracy by it's secretive actions, but then wonders why there is no trust in government. There is a seemingly telling picture of the Secret Service Agent  that jibes with the Smoking Gun theory near the time of the fatal shot but it's just one slice in time. This theory fits some of the data, but ...?

The photo club guy mentioned that the club guys were having a "lunch bunch" meeting at the Dinosaur so I thought it would be good fun to see if I could do a stakeout and get a surreptitous shot of their meeting. Don't believe they saw me from beyond the grassy knoll and distant sidewalk. These Godfathers of Graphics Files, the Digital Dons and Camera Cap-o's are the HDR Heavyweights from my photo club. They ought to be surprised at the next club meeting when it pops up on the screen.
