The Bald Mountain hike near Old Forge proceeds along this granite ridge overlooking the Fulton Chain of  Lakes. Third, Fourth, and Fifth Lakes appear hear from right to left. Sis snuck into the pic because she's such a camera hog. Walking over these dried leaves of orange and brown colored hues with the pleasant smell of Balsam in the air was like a bowl of potpourri. You want to avoid the tourist flock, and they call it an easy hike, but many people of a certain age or condition cannot do it. This was a good mid week day for a hike.

The SU Dome (whatever they call it now) is a venue that should be experienced by anyone interested in football. The chance that SU could knock off a top ranked Clemson team with Heisman Trophy candidate QB Tajha Brody was enough to entice 50,000 to attend. Here bro Bill on right goes wild with excitement as SU scored it's first touchdown. Alas, it was not enough as we were overwhelmed 49-14. But it is the contemplation of possibilities that is what the college spirit is all about.

River Road in nearby Rexford overlooks the Mohawk River from a 100 foot cliff. A viewing vantage point from when Christie raced down here in crew. Schenectady Yacht club on right.

This weeks Potpourri photo folder has a variety of subjects encountered in the last week. It kind of meandered from olde English Cotswold Morris dancers at Ruth Olmsted's sheep farm to hiking Cockatiel parrots, all random. Was so involved taking pictures that I missed my photo club meeting.
