Chapter 22 Boring Family Snapshots

Again bowing to reader response pressure to include more people pictures, have added another and probably the last of the "people pictures". Volunteered to take the first delivery to Hartford CT, then second run of the day to Newport RI for Acura Wed providing I could stay at Bro Dale's house in Mass. As Raytheon's Patriot missile guidance wiz you can see the cold war lines in his face. Fun visiting fam. Scott gave me the (new DHL company) shirt off his back. Barb & Kris just back from singing tour of Salzburg Austria.  I snapped a photo of Barbs fridge. 

This trip conflicted with the press conference with Pro tennis star/model Anna Kournakova at my dealership as they are sponsoring her appearance here in Schenectady. Got free tix though and attended prior nights World Team Tennis match. 

Nice 2 mile run on Newport's First Beach, dip in warm Atlantic, wash off red algae at outdoor beach shower, all for $1.25 parking meter. Then to Flo's for fish & chips. 

Fri teamed with co-swapdriver Paul Teal, 59 retired Roadway Express tandem driver who raced boats and was 4th in local sprint car circuit at Fonda, Lebanon Valley etc. Did VW run to Syracuse, nap, then opening night hockey. Had edge on opposing defenseman (17 yr old) but our team lost anyway. The Commons where we play had about 1000 cars for the soccer tourney. Believe cuz Bob came here with his boys but neglected to visit us. 

Saturday free Blues Festival in Albany, took DHL shirt on motorcycle but was harassed at traffic light. Some trailer trash girls in a pickup yelled Hey DHL guy, Your company sucks! 

Kinda wish I had my cushy State job back. This transition phase into the golden years is Hell.
