Ch 112 Serving the Summons

Please come to court

As much as I try not to put myself off the front page of my story, my new job keeps putting me in the eye of the storm. Like the song “Everybody’s talking at me”, on my job I try to get people to talk. Recently I got some people to speak about their corporate financial records while swap chapter member, Tony Karwiel, gets his kicks yaking about “Oprah” and “those crazy teens”. [the newspaper front page pic can’t hold a candle to mine] http://timesunion.com/AspStories/story.asp?storyID=463002&category=CAPITOL&BCCode=HOME&newsdate=3/21/2006

I deal with the NYS Insurance Dept downtown across the street from the Ft. Orange Club at 1 Commerce Plaza http://www.ins.state.ny.us/hpoffnos_loc.htm#albanyone  where my old nemesis just happened (coincidence, I think not) to be driving by when I snapped the shot as Tony’s carpool went by. Had to serve a summons (Service of Process) here to get some insurance records into Westchester County Court for a client. As this is a public document I think it’s safe to reveal. My wife thinks I’m like Dog the Bounty Hunter and I was actually thinking about getting some tattoos.

The Insurance Department figures prominently in many business activities in the state which I’d not been previously aware of. I file papers for corporate business issues like the Lake George tragedy, the  Ford Modeling Agency , Sago Mine insurance, etc. Probably not as interesting as what’s on Ellen today?
