I took many pictures but none really capture the experience. This is perhaps my best shot. Highly recommend the trip, but there are of course many alternatives in the ADKs. The stream meanders around oxbows and there are many beaver dams to contend with. The largest beaver houses I've ever seen were here with beavers splashing and deer crossing 30 feet from me. At one point you must navigate/portage over a large Maple tree that is blown down and completely blocking the channel. I chose the one foot pivot/swing boat method. Above this point is another remote peaceful lake where an American Eagle was flying overhead circling to dive bomb for fish. A pontoon plane also flew overhead. For this forest Virgin + FLYing I'll call it "V-LY Lake". Did photograph another unknown nice pink wild flower, if you like that sort of thing.
