I called this a '49 Harley Davidson, but may be older '37?. Photo in 1950. Springer front-end. Had the suicide clutch on left foot board, hand shifter on tank. Spark retard on left hand grip w/ leather tassels for kick starting to prevent kick back. Believe this one hit the dog up the gravel road by Virgil Church when he got all skinned up. Got on the (Ch 48) Cover Girl Bomber Jacket (autobiography) from WW2 that Bill wears now. Earned the jacket at Wendover Air Base Ch 132 , Utah shown in the film right next to Bonneville Speedway Salt Flats.

Photo taken by gramma the day sis was born. Dad was so happy to have a girl (after haveing three bratty boys) that he put his hat on backwards and rode down to tell the folks. 

Playing croquet with at Gma's house (now Bill's). Olmsted farm across road where Dad Grew up. Dairy cow pasture out the front & rear of barn. Plowing with horse team. Sawmill remnants visible on the hillside (back 140 Ac?) just above his shoulder. Good black berry pickin for us kids & partridge hunting. Brook Trout & deer up that valley, Thiesen Hollow.
