A Swiss researcher, Julien Beaud, contacted me after viewing my Les Diablerets video. Wanted my original photos and permission to use in their research paper. It was just published. Brushed up on my French a bit then used the translator English page. They used my photos of Kathy (in pink) on the unique single chair out of Oldenap to Oldenegg, and friend Gary Spongeberg in dark blue jacket. Haven't read it all but it appears they had upgraded that chair then massively upgraded to a newer lift.

It's amazing to have had an opportunity to experience such a magnificent place, then to have it live on again 44 years later.

The migration is biannual for our Canada Geese friends on the reservoir. Nice to hear them honking on crisp fall days in the morning sun.

Along one of my favorite motorcycle routes  lies the Copses Farms. They let me fly over their massive dairy farm in Rensselaer County. I had previously met the former farm owner, Walter Buck (chapter 326)  one time by happenstance. Sent Maureen Mayer the picture. They have bitten off quite an undertaking.

Then they invited me inside. Then they said I could launch right inside so I flew right down the centerline. Cows were not disturbed with the noise of the other equipment going on. So clean. So efficient. Each cow has an RFID chip embeddd in her collar. The cows migrate by themselves down to the center milking parlor. They want to be milked up to 5 times a day. The computers read the chip, know how to fit the milker on and keep track of data. Lazers guide on the teat cups. WOW. With just 10 workers contending with 1000 head.
