paradise everywhere
Spent Mothers Day weekend with fam at the magnificient Blue Water Manor at Bolton Landing, Lake George. The hundred year old manor is excellent with a great vantage point on the lake. Have to say they do it right. Going early in the season is economical, triple the price during prime time. Shoulda had the drone for a better capture to take in all the grounds.
Inside their Tavern features a giant rock wall and hearth. This early season Friday was pretty quite but 'rocked' on Saturday. Had brunch Sunday in one of their nice rooms.
The koi pond rock garden waterfall was feng shui peaceful. Well done.
But as I looked at the background I was reminded of my side gig as chauffeur at the wedding scene next door 20 years ago.
Had to do the Pinnacle Mountain hike. Lucas and Hazel were the team leaders. He and whole group were inspired. Maybe only one black fly.
Hazel is a scrambler.
Summit always a joy. Highlight.
Lunch at fabulous Sagamore Resort as we watched the prom people and a wedding on the grounds.
Breakfast one morning at the Bolton Landing Sunshine Diner, a cozy trolly car. Thanks to Colleen's sister (far corner with friends) for arranging the reservations for the whole trip.
Smores of course outside our cabins. What more can you ask for. How can you eat all those things.
Yes, there were a few hiccups- bumps & bruises during the weekend but a really memorable moment.
