Ballston Creek

learn by doing, logging flight time

All Drone pictures here. Mostly using the wideangle panorama setting which composites 9 shots while hovering then stitches them together in the matter of 15 seconds. Ballston Creek from the Zim Smith Bikepath. Had to just get some exercise after sitting around during the numerous rain storms. There are many large trees lining the path but I found a little clearing to fly thru, keeping the drone at some altitude ensures a good signal between controller and drone. If the signal is lost the drone will fly back to it's take off spot.

Had a 2 hour weather window before more rain so did a little ride to the Champlain C1 first lock up from Troy. Boat traffic was minimal but this one boat came through.

Bought a cheap $40 mesh motorcycle jacket for the first time in 60 years. It's a little heavy with plastic back, shoulder and back protection but the air sure flows through. I had taken some video and this is a still capture from the 1080 video.

Hit the Halfmoon water tower thinking it might be a tad photogenic. Can see house on Sunset Dr (left-10 o'clock) where Colleen grew up. Mohawk River making the bend in Crescent.

Had 15 minutes before dinner so we walked down to the bike path bridge between Wager Pond and the Mohawk. Dodging mosquitos.

Took a nice hundred mile ride on the Honda 400 to Vromans Nose in Schoharie. Had drone hover just behind me before the trees in the forest.
