Super

my generation

I cannot keep this secret any longer. Although I never want to be the one to claim fame where it's unwarranted, I must confess that, yes, my classmate at Syracuse is a Super Bowl Champion. Tom Coughlin was in the backfield between Hall of Famers Floyd Little and Larrry Czonka and in my graduating class at SU. In this picture the guys are on the practice field down past Manley Field house. Its also the field I played on for the SU soccer team for a couple years.

Tom and I also played on small upstate high school basketball teams at the same time. His team was 60 miles north of my Virgil team near Aunt Carol's home in Waterloo. But it was Floyd Little that I matched up against on the Archbold Gym court when his Boothe Hall jock team played against my Watson East 4 intramural team.

DO NOT MISS this outstanding video about Archbold Stadium if you are a sports or SU fan. Archbold was demolished after the 1978 season. It's just in front of Sadler Hall in picture where I lived for a year and where Boeheim was the Resident Advisor to Coughlin his Senior year.

This is classic. Knocked down, stepped on and disheveled... but composed. It's inspiring just to be associated with Greatness.
