Dale wanted another chapter, so...

I can't get away from the Uncle Nelson Warren angle. Called one of his kriegie POW buddies (B24/Poletzi) in Texas and he confirmed that Nels was attacked by FW 190's wings ablaze, last one to bail out. He glad I called, worked for GE as inspector for the Apollo Mission (definitely not happy to be in Wernher Von Brauns program, said Hitler gave the kill the POWs order but Goehring overruled) By the way if you ever ate any Freihoffer Bread, note that the B-17 of Bob Freihofer (Schenectady) was also shot down and in their prison camp as Nelson had noted. [I questioned Friehofer's (cuz?) Wayne Freihofer about this later at the Auto Museum, he's a board of Trustees and sponsors the main display]

Then, I take a BMW run to Pawtucket, RI for DMV, staying overnight at bro Dale's. I ask Barb how I should add in some fun for the day, and she says "Oh definitely visit Bristol, RI quaint and nice beach." I go there and pass thru a nice little place. Looking at the signs, it says Warren, RI. (Karma). I jog at the (free) Colt St Park, borrow a cup from a handicap senior citizens picnic and shower from cold faucet water in the vacant public restroom. Starting back to Albany, I stop at my first favorite Sub Way. The more subs you eat, the more weight you lose. Am sitting in the cozy glassed in cove on main street, munching on the meatballs. Start to focus on the nice architecture across the street. It's Warren Town Hall. Oh my god! Angel network again. Believe I am tuning into a higher frequency, a higher plateau and reaching inner peace. Could be the hot peppers though.

You can see from the picture, that earlier in the day I had made a run thru the Berkshires with an Element and found a beautiful 1926 Model T. I might buy if I get the right partner to help in the restoration (Kev- available???) Why couldn't we?

There are some other images of the Vermont hayride, the other local media trying to get the scoop on me, and some earth work I did back in Virgil.

When I got home, yesterday, I began my stint with the Saratoga Auto Museum. Go to pick up car collection in Gloversville. Mechanic says owner is in Colorado. Then in he drives, Jim Taylor, owner of Taylor Made Products where son Shawn works, with a just acquired Shelby Mustang. Getting the new $150,000 Ford GT later on. Drove bunch of his car collection (me 58 Jag XK 150, winner of Le Mans in 1957) down for the car show. Entered my Porsche in the competition. Schenectady Gazette guy took my picture. The red 1939 Diamond T Reo pickup behind it stalled on route 29- had to push off the highway and jump it. Jim says gonna enter his 49 Chev Suburban in the Beijing to Paris race.

Met President of RaceMark, Bob Bailey. He's on our board of directors along with Jim. He brought in a BMW formula car, Porsche speedster and a jag. Masseratis, Alphas, Ferraris abound.

This is only my first day with Museum. I showed them Dad's 1949 Dooling powered model race. May go in the museum!!!
