Ch 197 Living in the Present                                      virtual living

Hazards of everyday life in Clifton Park. I have no life, I know. But I amuse myself to pretend I'm doing something.

Normally, I'd have to wait to give this a 20 year retrospective view. A simple ice storm hit us as I awoke at 5 am to the sound of the maple tree limb cracking off just missing the rear of the house. At first light I snapped a few pics of the Christmasy beauty. After struggling to cut up the limb precariously balanced over the crabapple tree I was too exhausted to take any more pictures of the beauty of the ice sparkling on all the trees throughout the area.

Son Shawn's Maple tree up in Malta also was a total loss but spared his car barely. Strangely, in this business climate and climate climate, he is taking a significant promotion as a computer design engineer with a backyard yet global and local swimming pool company, Latham Plastics.

I know many of you are bored with the car stories but this weeks "My Classic Car" on Speed Channel with Dennis Gage did a garage segment on Shawn's old Company leader, Jim Taylor. But I already brought you that story in Chapter 88 . Remember the advice given 40 yrs ago to Dustin Hoffman emerging from the swimming pool in The Graduate: "Plastics"
