High Society

at home on the street

Went to a halloween party looking for escape and came away with a vision of reality. One of my best, I think. It was just a brief glimpse while while walking downtown in the upscale elite town of Saratoga Springs. It doesn't tell A Story, it tells many stories. Without blathering on I'd just say it's a beautiful balance of the contradictions in life - kind of the yin and yang on Broadway.

More yin and yang going on here. Thought the 1 year old guy would be timid, but no. Had to run to keep ahead of him.

It's quite interesting to Google homeless and look through the images like the above. Their signs are very creative and thought provoking, funny, poignant, etc.

Previously linked the story of an SU football player who later became homeless so it's only fair to add this inspirational piece of one who went from being homeless to becoming a SU football player. Durell Eskridge #3 plays defense with the intensity and dedication that perhaps a soft young high schooler from the affluent suburbs might not bring. I captured him zeroing in on the powerful Clemson running back in last year's game. He was just not going to get by Durell.

Or if you prefer a little more comic relief in your images...
