When I watched this well done video on the largest Lithium mine source in the world, it rang a bell. Loved Johnny Cash's version of the song. Never knew Winnemucca was a real place in northern Nevada and was shocked that Cash's version only came about in 1996. The American version of the song was adapted from the 1959 Austrailian original.

Out of curiosity I have been to 24 of the 92 places listed, not bad. I don't even have a goal of seeing everything. Wonder how many you have done? Some people do not even know where they've been. If you report back to me I'll update this page.

A Lithium source is crucial to America's quest for future "clean energy", (or not so clean). Li-ion battery storage cars phones etc. 

Vermont's Green Mountain Power's plan to distribute cheap batteries to home owners would give a backup power supply to the public rather than building a centralized massive battery station. Intermittent renewable energy sources for wind and solar. Seems like a win win situation?
