My Male Modeling Phase

Beautiful  video display of Alavaro's work.

The world renowned watercolor artist, Alvaro Castagnet, was in town from Montevideo, Uruguay, South America and asked me to pose in this painting of the downtown Coxsackie Historic District. You can see me walking in the foreground in blue. I was wearing gray (artistic license). Blue gives a Je ne sais quoit, if you know what I mean.

Members of the Hudson River Valley Workshop were on hand to observe and learn from the Master. They got a chuckle when I asked if he wanted me to take my clothes off. I might stylize it something like this:

. But Alvaro's rendition is more artistic  .

I didn't mind as I was in town on a day junket to visit with old college buddies for breakfast at Chrissys Diner. The annoying paparazzi seem to always be on hand to catch a candid shot of us when we least expect it. Interesting how the caption on the print behind us says "Living Life is not a race, but indeed a journey."

His award winning Telmo Bar ,Buenos Aires, Argentina print is available from his web site as well as books and paintbrushes. His Youtube video art series is impressive as he travels the world. I was proud to have played a small part as the foreground subject in his downtown Coxsackie masterpiece.

Am I the only one who sees the resemblance in my Chrissy's Cafe shot?

This stuff is all true, I don't make it up. Just another day in dull world of state worker retirement.
