Chapter 57

Stream Surveys

web logging or weBLOG is sort of what I've been doing I guess.

The trip home from the Buffalo trip was worth a separate chapter. As I got to the Ray Laks Honda dealership in West Seneca, it turns out the facility was right on Cazenovia Creek. I was amazed and dumbfounded as Mirabile & I had done a water quality sampling, survey and math model of the very stream and probably had sampled from the very bridge some 25 years ago. I'm laughing as I take the picture unbelieving of the convergence of coincidences. The dealership probably even discharges to the creek. Like the convergence of tributaries, the confluence flows on.

Now I meet Uncle Gene & Aunt Peg right there, as they had bought their Honda at the facility. We went out for breakfast. Mirabile & I had stayed at their house years ago (and has always reminisced about the 4 blonde girls). Gene gave me back a walnut laminated putter that Dad had made during his golf club design phase. It's for Shawn.

Took the scenic route 20 trip back since I now had a 6 speed Accord coupe with the nice leather, sunroof and satellite radio. Same journey I did with my Mustang.

Traversed by an Elk farm somewhere "East of Alden". Reminded me of trip to Bob's Montana 40 years ago. Concentrated animal feeding operations that DEC (Mirabile) gave permits for. Passed our DEC regional office in East Avon.

Stopped to stretch legs by a walk with Aunt Carol near Geneva.

Convergence!
