Ch 153 Olmsted Family Reunion

First Ever Annual Event

This is a rare first hand account and an in-depth inside look at the customs and gathering habits of the Olmsted Tribe. I was embedded within the actual encampment of the inhabitants of this rare lost world Virgil clan to study whether they exhibited any anthropologic characteristics in common with other members of the human race. Sure there were other pagan holiday gatherings, but this seems to be the first solely devoted to this new generation of warriors.

Here, a juvenile member, Alex Olmsted, has just caught his first Largemouth Bass. He is rightly proud, having just learned how to hold the prey. Their curious uniforms all seem to have some sort of hieroglyphics on them, perhaps signifying what sect they belong to or some other sort of identity or status markings. Note how the head dress blends in with the surrounding so that you can cannot discern the entirety of the actual head. We are not sure but this sort of camouflaging may be meant to defeat the facial recognition software that is becoming standard on many evolving laptop computers and security systems.

Other members of this hunter-gatherer society are in the background, also scavenging for food and berries. The elder of the society, Dale Olmsted, is seen staring off into the distance, a habit often observed for this individual. Next to him is an outsider, Pete Hans, a retired State Trooper. Like the friendly Eskimo people, Pete has graciously offered up his fishing pond, the night crawlers, two golf carts for zooming around his 40 acre spruce tree plantation, soda, beer and anything else the nomads might want. This is the Virgil Way, not to be found in all societies.

Dockside, the middle generation, Dale Scott Olmsted teaches young Hayden Olmsted in the Ways of the Society. I've found a curious repetition in the naming of individuals amongst this group.

Hesitating to bore readers with more family snapshots, (I know you prefer the close-ups of the 1955 Jaguar hood ornaments) I did include a couple of the more interesting case studies. 153B and 153C .
