Chapter 648

7/4/2023

Fourth of July

tid bits

We didn't do much for the 4th of July but did go up to the lovely 550 Waterfront on Saratoga Lake now in a 10 year lease by Druthers Brewing.

Canadian wildfire smog continued for a bit obscuring the morning light over our reservoir.

Stopped in on Lillian turning 103 in a few weeks. I like to stay out of the way for the actual "Birthday". Born before electricity was widely available. Note her portrait of 50 yrs +/- prior.

Pattersonville Solar project has been progressing rapidly while the construction at High River Energy Center in Town of Florida is starting late.

The Palanca Rio bringing a load of oil up to Port of Albany from Charleston.

Secretary of the Interior came here for secret meetings. Four off shore wind projects want cost increases before continuing.

Checking in on Port of Coeymans where they will be involved in the off shore wind projects. But expansion doesn't come without controversy.

The town has a plan.

Project delays and inflationary costs are problematic. Is it too exaggerated to think our future "cheap renewable power" electric bills might double?

Beautiful rendition of an off shore power transfer station. What will be the future of these projects.

Stopped at Druthers Clifton Park in Colleen's quest for 70 Happy Hours theme. Bought a beer for the future bride with her bachelorette party. Noticed the Cortland girl in the background. She, Colleen Ames, had just been hired day prior as Cortland Women head basketball coach. A fun group.
