sometimes it is all about the kids

It was a whirlwind family bonding moment on a beautiful autumn weekend in the Commonwealth State. My great nephew, Hayden, pitched in a his Wapole little league game and gave me the brush back bean ball when I got a tad too close to the action. Just a sore lip nothing serious. I didn't back off until my shutterbugging finally affected the outcome of the game. Shooting from behind the backstop caused some distraction when Hayden threw the wild pitch into the dirt with runners advancing. Guess a photographer man has got to know his limits.

Earlier in the day, Hayden had been the place kicker on his youth football team. No distraction and a 28-0 win for us. These kids had remarkable skill levels in this game.

Franklin Flyers Champions at Mt St Charles, Woonsocket, RI

Later afternoon tripped on down to the quaint Mount Saint Charles Academy Arena in Woonsocket, RI to catch great nephew Daniel go undefeated and win the championship in a thrilling overtime win while shorthanded. His Franklin Flyers team much like Great Uncle Terry's undefeated Mustang-Flyers team.

Donald Trump just scootin in for game

All this was a mere prelude to the adult's big game. Bro Bill and nephews Scott and Kristen et al were dropped off down the street for the Pats Jets NFL matchup. Pats squeaked out a slim victory in overtime with the Donald Trump flying in for the kickoff, everything was of course amazing.

Legal Seafood Harborside 3rd floor

Meanwhilst, Son and Daughter had simultaneously but separately over nighted at cuz Dave and Kristen in Boston Harborside (Legal Seafood) with a merry night of revelry and clubbin. Prefering to keep it undocumented and anonymous. No doubt trying to replicate Richard Olmsted's colonial carousing of 1631.

As night fell there was the obligatory dusk basketball dunking contest with Alex at half pace coming off a broken arm from the power scooter accident.

Throw in a little dog walking/ werewolfing with Julia and you get the picture. Yes, this was a wonderful spontaneous freeform family bonding / thanksgiving event without the hassle and pressure of trying to act like a family gathering. No, don't want to do it every week.
