Chapter 69

Racing Improves the Breed

GT class cars

People like cars, benefit from competition so I couldn't just end the Glen story with the last chapter. On Tony's web site  http://www.nuzzomotorsports.com/ under PHOTOS a bunch of my shots are posted (it's like I'm on the team). Speed Channel will rebroadcast the race Sunday 5pm.

Also, special thanks go out to John Kenna for helping me take many of the shots. He is a real pal. Over the years we have shared a lot of things; including forestry & engineering class notes, beers, women, canoes, cave trips, sailing, skiing, careers at DOT and DEC, apartments, muscle cars, and now retirement, and swap driving. I was on the first double date with his wife to be in college and he was at the bar at Brodie Ski Mt when I met my wife to be (I think). They say if you remember the 60's you really weren't there.

The #55 Mustang took second place overall. Zippo Stang bit dust in front of us. Skip Barber racing school held a few small races with the open wheelers. The gull wings are on the prototypes that did the Rolex Sports Car Series. Sahlen brought a stable of Porsches (but one was even beaten by Tony's second 'LOWER' placing MINI).
