Past & Present

slices of time

Every time we take a picture we are living in the past.

We don't always eat lobster, but when we do we go to Massachusetts to get the good stuff.

So, it was old bro Dale Glen's 70th birthday and we had a little house party in Franklin, MA. Thought he could be of great benefit to anyone younger (that's everyone) with some sage advice, but he failed to deliver on that...

It had been 30 years between lobster dinners, it's just how the crab shell crumbles.

At this party we found out Dale Jr was to be hired as head football coach at Nichols College.

Have re-edited my chapter on Uncle Guy's football career at Northwestern University. Good perspective on the helmet issue as he played a hundred years ago (1912) after the rules had been changed to remove the danger and brutality in the sport.

Sweet Lucas Olmsted almost a half year at Thanksgiving. What's new now will later be old.

Bucket List item #23 completed: did the 5K Turkey Trot at St. George's Church in Clifton Park. About 20 degrees with 15mph wind at 8am. Took a couple shots from across the street just before the horn. Running as a bandit didn't want to hang around too long before hand and get thrown out. It was an enjoyable event.

The last time I did a road race (Schenectady Stockadathon 5K) it was thirty years ago. Shawn liked to train with me for a short distance.
