Ch 79 Next Biggest Thing                                          My Trucker Phase

This is the BIGGEST and last in the series of NEXT THINGS. The Jags from Boston turned out to be Land Rovers, and we took the biggest vehicle Keeler had to fetch em. I had turned down the full time job of driving this rig. Went with a Range Rover and a pair of Jims to Sudbury MA and returned with one smaller LR3 Land Rover piggyback, while Jim & I each drove another pair of LR3’s. I had the $44K V-8 300HP version. Only $60 to fill tank with premium and got ‘reasonable’ 18mpg highway. These Rovers have sweet sound systems and are real fine. Seems that they are selling so well, the factory can’t fill our orders so we are buying outright from other dealers, go figure?

If you zoom in, you can see the “Solar” on the stern of a Grady White on south shore of Long Island. Is this another omen? Swan & I were both fascinated by my Flounder sandwich while dining seaside on a swap to Patchogue.
