Terry's Journey in Retirement

Chapter 632

Kinns Road Park

it's a dogs world

I first took Schatzie for a free roaming down to my favorite walk on the old Erie Canal Tow Path near home at Vischers Ferry.

She simply loved the freedom.

It was a beautiful fall day. She enjoys the cool air and the exploration.

Boy did she love the freedom of being off leash as well as me. I can keep walking without jerking her chain. She'll be sniffing around while I pass by then she'll sense she's too separated and run to catch up and pass me. Just like Misha used to do. Misha always loved me for setting her free to explore like a real dog and not just a subordinate leashed pet.

The next step up was Kinns Road Park. The Town of Clifton Park hit a home run here. There are many acres of big trees with paths to explore allowing dogs off leash legally. Dogs act much better when off leash. There's all breeds and all personalities. Haven't run into any bad actors yet. People also enjoy each other and each others dogs. It's a good thing.

Did I mention there are all sorts of dogs there. Schatzie loves them all and all the people. Here she is running to the bald guy for some reason and he gives here love and petting. Colleen has a watchful eye but gets it. Dogs like freedom.

Meeting some sort of long lost cousin here.

There's another wilder side of the property with a sidehill and a stream. Didn't get a great shot down there due to the cloudiness.

Schatzie and Son's Olive love each other. Colleen does a lot of dog sitting and sometimes I have to as well.
