Biking Phase

sometimes you just gotta roll

Old bicycle buddy, Bob introduced me to his riding partner, Gerry Cunsolo while we had dinner at his Nonna Maria Italian Kitchen here in Clifton Park / Halfmoon. I snapped this off as I awaited my Eggplant stuffed Chicken and Ricotta Cheese sensation. Turns out the Upstate New York group judged this to be the best Italian restaurant in Upstate NY.  I cannot argue with that. Born in Cardinale, Calabria Italy there is still an accent in his voice.

That night we set up a ride for the following Monday.

It turned out to be a beautiful late summer day as we churned out 18 miles from Saratoga Lake up through Luther Forest to the Zim Smith bikeway and return. Only problem was dropping my camera on the highway at 25 mph. The Canon kept ticking, luckily landing on its corner.

We did a short 10 mile round trip segment on the Warren County Bikeway from near Glens Falls into Lake George to avoid the car traffic jams to view the Adirondack Nationals Hot Rod show. Getting Colleen acclimated slowly to biking. The Burlington VT bikeway along the waterfront and out onto Lake Champlain is a goal.

The lake is usually beautiful with the Lac du Saint Sacremant tour boat just leaving dock heading down past Buck Mountain.

It's exciting and crazy on the street with burnouts and revving mega horsepower vehicles cruising up and down past Fort William Henry.

In between sunny days, there were a few days of drizzle. This couple heads back out on Round Lake for their 5th hour of bass fishing after coming in for a cigarette lighter fix.
