chapter 207R3

Reunion 3

9/10/2011

SU 21 - URI 14

Pete and I bum rushed Buzz as he sat at the end of M Street gazing upon the Sheraton. Off to Hungry Charlies for the now traditionally good burger and flies.

Little pep rally with the always great sounding marching band and some leg watchin. So nice to have a beautiful day compared with the deluges of Hurricane Irene, Tropical Storm Lee and tornado that decimated some nearby communities around NY.

We took a side trip to Forestry side of campus (100 year anniversary), looks just a tad different but evolution is a slow process. The Army National Guard wounded warrior collection team was everywhere. We weren't entirely sure they weren't scammers. Age yields skepticism.

The game was supposed to be lopsided for us, but wouldn't you know little Rhode Island played very well with their Hofstra quarterback transplant. So, the game was in doubt till the end, but a win for us. USC next week away ! Yikes, but who knows. Highlight for me was finding Uncle Gene's picture in the trophy case.

We did have some Co-Op flash backs. Consensus was we all missed Madonna's sly smile and stories. Wondered what Ed Bentley did with his life. Where did crazy Tom Rogers go? What of Mark Skuyton and his swords ? Does Alan Heugh's Mom still have the drilled magnesium earrings created and tested at the coop?

Pete in midst of law suit supporting his model train club and there certainly will be some blowdown to content with on his Catskill hiking trails.

Buzz doing some active duty on board the U.S.S. Alstede in the Mediterranean. Still actively an activist receiving 2011 Award by Veterans for Peace.

Terry currently into Roman Coins and restoring a 1911 Western Electric fan.

I know there have been some coop reconnections. Good. Send me any thoughts, recollections, or tidbits you are willing to (or are suitable to) throw on the web.
