Ch 105 Pigskin People                                                         Car Swaps and Football                                 

Nephew Dale Scott Olmsted appointed head football coach at Millis HS, MA last week. The legendary General John Lee set him on this path years earlier.

Here’s a guy doing what he loves, loves what he’s doing and the fact that somebody pays him too, is a bonus. He has a passion for the game and teaching. Did I mention his other job is package handling for DHL.

I took the center shot on an Acura swap/ sleep over when his Braintree team played Dedham. Security caught Dale Sr. and me trying to sneak into the game for free. Scott always liked the pigskin as you can see in the old shots from our neighbor’s farm in Virgil. One of my favorite close-up shots. Can’t help but wonder how much the Virgil experience influenced his choice of a small school with that sense of community and camaraderie. I notice the hiring athletic director was Chuck Grant, his old coach who I can’t get the image out of my mind, was drunk and dancing wildly with a napkin on his head at Scotts wedding.

Composed the Honda shot for an article in the Keeler Motorcar newsletter. Salesman, Ryan Rocheleau, 28, pictured played strong safety for the semi-pro football Glens Falls Greenjackets, ( 70years in Empire League)  before sustaining a career ending L5 back injury playing cornerback for the Albany Capitaland Thunder. He’s real stout and is also a personal physical trainer at Golds Gym. At a road game down to Manhattan he met and began relationships with Miss Cleavage of the World Wrestling Federation, Marianna Komlos and International Federation of Body Builders, “the Real Deal”, Chris Cormier Very interesting stories that I can’t go into here. Will have to wait for my tell-all memoirs, and they wont fall into a million pieces.
