Ch 128 Give Me Justice                                      NY Legal System                          

2nd floor home to our next Gov- Attny Gen Elliott Spitzer.

7th floor, had some difficulty retrieving files from the NYS Court of Claims this week. (A $6 Million malpractice case settlement in Long Island against Downstate Medical.) They handle claims against the State Agencies.

5th floor, Supreme Court Appellate Division Third Department handles criminal or civil cases that originate in 28 upstate county supreme courts but are appealed for reversal. Sat in on one argument in this attractive courtroom shown here. Did a photo shoot of this building. There were plain clothed undercover security people with walkie talkies watching me, but never accosted me. Recall the tilted name plate from the 5th floor court room from Chapter 121 which had resulted from surreptitious techniques to evade detection of the Court Officers. This week as I returned case files through security, I've become more recognizable and was cordially met by the Court Officer who was the first one to discover the murder of Peter Porco.
