Next, it was across the border to  Dr. Williamson’s garage for a tour of his fleet. The Doc was not home; probably at the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center where he is Director of the Epilepsy program in the Neurology Department at age 70+. Or maybe, he was at the Dartmouth Medical School where he is chairman of the endowment program and has been a professor there. Scott keeps the dozen Bugattis on the ready, as these cars are driven. There is one of each type Ettori Bugatti produced, not to mention the other common Ferraris and Masseratis in the “lower” garage. The long drive up to this hilltop retreat gave us an expansive view of the New Hampshire mountain skyline. This is living!

[What I didn't mention in the article (probably would have been considered gauche) was the fact that Dr Williamson's type 57 SC Atlantic (pictured at our museum when I worked a wedding last year) is worth about $25 Million as it won the triple crown at Pebble Beach. Video link here Best of Show 2003. The only other one in existence is owned by fashion designer Ralph Lauren. Dr Williamson, although distinguished in his own right, gets a large spendable income through his wife, a Firestone heiress.]
