Blue Water Manor

Fam reconvened at Bolton Landing, Lake George at these majestic lodges, although they don't see this while asleep late in morning. Landscaped terrace with koi fish pond.

Another overlook above the 78 step stairway to the docks that tired our legs out from the many descents and accents. A wedding was held here for the Fourth.

Colleen and I spent many hours mornings and evenings down at this lake level viewing the serenity and the active recreation scenes.

We took over the chaise lounge chairs near waters edge next to our swimming access to the lake. Tavern boat dock workers helped boaters tie up here for breakfast, lunch, dinner or the bar scene with it's bands.

From our catbird seats we could look back at the Tavern night scene.

The last morning was quite peaceful except for one skiier zipping by.

Had a relaxing breakfast at the Tavern on the morning after the craziness of the holiday. Even had Colleen's  favorite  loon fly over Buck Mt on the left saluting us with his haunting tremolo vocalizations (see 2018 winter hike Ch 489)

The guy in the lounge chair at dockside said we had a beautiful family.

Sometimes they play nice. They were in the lake and pool topside most of the time for these heat advisory days nearing 100 degrees.

The koi fish did not like the heat and were submerged until the cooler evening hours.

So many fantastic boats came and went. Google images said this was a 2001 Cigarette 46' rough rider worth about $140,000 with it's Mercury dual 300 horsepower Racing supercharged outboard motors. ($50,000 each) Oh GOD ! and 25 years old used condition

Here was a more sedate model, a Hacker-Craft made in Ticonderoga for the Hacker Boat Company of Silver Bay, Lake George.  The originals were made in the 1908 and still beautiful and pricey. Wasn't able to find the owner of this "Sportin Woodie" but there is a 2027 Special Sportabout 24' for sale that mimic the originals at $445,000. You can even go electric if you don't like the throb of the 350 HP V-8s.
