Ch 96 Clubbing RavensWood hangout
Photo from Ravenswood Club awards ceremony Friday after my hockey club pushed our winning streak to 23 games. I had made up a bobble head for Capt Nirsberger who was complaining he gets no notoriety for all our accomplishments. This, even though a new player works at the Times Union newspaper. Used full resolution for the (mostly insider) gags to work. Jason Woll, second from left, is another Shen hockey all-star, but blew knee out in Dodgeball and scheduled for arthroscopic surgery. He returns to NorthEastern University in Jan to complete his BS degree and will work in Boston at UPS as Industrial Engineer where some quality control is needed. Ron Kuhl (pic w/ Bobby Hull) left our team to coach CBA prep school for rest of season. Our goalie played his hand built Didgeridoo between periods of our game and I snagged a pix of him doing same in the bar. Beth doing residency at Watkins Glen Hospital.
Daughter Christie came to our bar last week and got hit on when team gave me a piece of cake to celebrate year 60. I declined the shots and trip to strip club, but not sure I made the right decision. Team says I might be able to play till 76? Why would I want to stop? I rejoined my old DEC hockey team so I can play twice a week for now anyway until I need that cow heart transplant.
Kevin attended xmas party at the Ft. Orange Club. Had no idea it was so renowned. Established in 1880, has had members including Teddy Roosevelt & F.D.R., and now limits membership to 600 with initiation fee of $5000. My Fed Ex co-worker John, not on bar duty that night. John is also pursuing BS Ind Engr thru same university Shawn attended. Even as a lowly driver, my car company included me for the nice prime rib dinner and open bar at the Marriott, where I was begged to bring back a BMW from Newburg on Monday. Already going to Mass for BMW, & had to decline a Honda Vermont run. Fed Ex, I believe will ask us to work on xmas.
