On the Podium at Watkins Glen

Grand Am Racing

long story short I'm trying to remind myself...

Got free tix to Grand American Cup Challenge, Chemung Canal Trust 200 mile race in central NY thru my swap drive business and took college buddy. My boss has friend, Tony Nuzzo (centered) racecar driver for NMI Long Island NY. Before race met up with Tony and co-drivers Doug Fero (Philly), Steve Pattee (Adel IA) and Gene Sigal (LA) in the paddock.

Tremendous achievement for their #20 car to finish third in class ST and 20th overall of 76 entries beating all the RX8s, BMW 330is, Z3s, and some of the more powerful GS class Porsche 996, M3s, Mustangs, Nissan 350z, Cadillac CTS-Vs, Acura TSX, RSXs etc.

Barged into Press Box for winners circle celebration to catch the champagne & moment, lax security.

Mustang was leading GS with 4 laps to go, when BMW M3 retook lead for victory. But Mustang is leading overall point race in series.
