Vibram Five Finger Video

Testing out the Vibram Five Finger (shoes?) so naturally I did the video above for kicks. I went pretty bare foot most of the summers till going to kindergarten and liked it. Popping the tar bubbles after they put oil and stone on our dirt road really stuck to the bottoms. Believe we used kerosene for clean up.

Can't give a realistic review only having them one day, but I like. Seem to be especially suited for soft terrain. Mowing the lawn in just a swim suit, Vibrams, and matching black mechanics gloves is an impressive sight. Wish I had 'em at Myrtle Beach on the scorching sands where I blistered bottoms jogging on the abrasive sand. Ideal for Kayak if you have to do a lot of beaver dam crossing, although I'll probably still go barefoot for convenience.

This KSO model is too expensive at $85 but I splurged. (I know Sis will prefer the camo model.)

day 2: Misha heard from the Today Show that Lake George was cool, so we walked up Shelving Rock Mt (1.7mi) with view up thru the Narrows and here across from Bolton Landing and looking south, Huddle Bay and Dome Island,

then we both swam just across from the Sagamore Hotel. Beautiful, no crowds, and "free", wilderness forest. Vibram's gave secure feel wading in among the weed beds, rocks and dead submerged tree branches.

Free at last.
