Ch 31 Willies Weiner Wagon eating on the road
Cars, Culture, & Cusine
A funny thing happened on the way back from Avon CT this week on the Acura swap. Was lunch time, so I began searching for road food. The first and most readily available spot was Willies. They wouldn't give a receipt, so I trucked on!
The Pub in Norwalk was real attractive, but it was too attractive, if you know what I mean. [stopped on later trip for dinner & Old Speckled Hen, 150 brews on tap]
Then my navigation system displayed some restaurants in Cannan, 77miles and 1hour 23 mins from home. Collins Diner it was, http://www.collinsdiner.com/ top ten in New York Times. Love to have the local home fries when I travel. Hate their home fries. Bad choice. NYT has it all wrong!
Nice sculptured bouquet of aluminum and steel on roadside just south of Austerlitz to brighten the day however.
