Baby brother Bill broke in his new kayak on this 3 1/2 mile segment of the West Branch of the Delaware River. It's a great mostly float for 3 1/2 hours from Balls Eddy, PA to Hancock, NY. Bill's boss had taken up a collection for his retirement singles cruise that he wouldn't partake in, so I guess this suffices. And yes, it was a little downstream that George Washington also crossed with his kayak a couple hundred years ago.

a beauty, Rainbow est 18 inch, 3 pound & release

It's renowned as a great trout stream with steady cold water flowing from the Cannonsville Reservoir that feeds the NYC drinking water supply from the western Catskills. It didn't disappoint this fly fisherman with his (est. 18 inch 3 pound) Rainbow although I got skunked with only a couple hits. Paid $29 for useless NY fishing license but was probably breaking the law anyway since we were on the PA side half the time. Cortland Line company employees catch bows.

Wouldn't think this idyllic setting would be home to Islamic radicals but the Islamberg community is located right here on the hillside. Is it part of the Third Jihad ???
