Ch 64 Volunteerism

Saratoga Autoshow 2005

Those who volunteered at the Saratoga Automobile Museum spring car show had a treat. There was the nostalgia of the 50’s Midget Racers, the throaty rumble of a mustard yellow V-12 Lamborghini Countach, the strikingly beautiful lines of a 1937 Bugatti, and a display of scientific applications of  evolving technologies in the Tour de Sol racers. Yes, there was electricity in the air and on the ground, and in the electric bicycles. The Godfather of SAM  was in attendance to pace the grounds. If that wasn’t enough there was also the $170,000 2005 AMG V-12 Mercedes S65 bi turbo pumping 600 HP, the fast and furious Tuner Cars, and the  smell of smoke emanating from the tailpipe of Leonard’s Lancia. Talk about being rewarded for getting up early on a Saturday morning to work.
